The Harvia KIP 8.0 kW with built-in controls is designed for larger traditional sauna rooms where you want straightforward heater-mounted operation without a separate digital controller.

Harvia’s 8 kW KIP platform is intended for sauna rooms of approximately 251 to 424 cubic feet.

Is 8 kW right for your room?

Start with the room’s interior volume, then adjust for glass, stone, tile, masonry, or other uninsulated surfaces. Those surfaces increase heat demand and can push a room that looks like a 6 kW installation into the 8 kW range.

Infrared saunas use infrared emitters and typically operate at lower air temperatures. Traditional saunas heat the room with an electric or wood-burning heater and sauna stones, creating the classic higher-temperature sauna experience. When the heater and manufacturer instructions allow it, water can be added to approved sauna stones for a brief increase in humidity.
