Hybrid Sauna FAQs

What is a hybrid sauna?

A hybrid sauna combines more than one heating method in the same cabin. Many Martin Sauna hybrid models pair a traditional electric sauna stove with full-spectrum infrared emitters, letting you choose between a classic higher-temperature sauna experience and infrared heat.

Can I use the traditional heater and infrared system at the same time?

Do not assume both systems can be operated together. Controls and operating instructions vary by model, so follow the manufacturer’s manual for the specific sauna.

Do hybrid saunas require 240V electrical service?

Many hybrid models use dedicated 240V service because of the traditional sauna heater, but requirements vary by model. Check the exact voltage, amperage, and circuit requirements before ordering and have a qualified electrician confirm the installation.

Are hybrid saunas only for outdoor use?

No. Hybrid refers to the heating system, not the installation location. Some hybrid models are built for outdoor use while others are intended for indoor installation.
